The Velocitree

The Velocitree is a flora that appears in the Sonic Underground television series. It is a fabled and exceedingly rare tree that grows on Mobius.

Description

The Velocitree mostly resembles a palm tree. It has a tall brown trunk, seemingly made of intertwined smaller trunks, and has at the top a voluminous crown of long and smooth green leaves. It bears round fruit in the form of green fruit clusters.

The Velocitree is recognized as the fastest growing thing on Mobius. When condensed and processed to its essence, it can produce a special tonic that gives anyone super speed compatible to Sonic's when poured on their feet. However, as a side effect, it makes the user's feet huge.

History

The only specimen of the Velocitree known to exist was placed in the Hanging Gardens of Mobius by Queen Aleena for her unborn children to enjoy. However, it was later found by Dr. Robotnik and destroyed to produced a tonic that would make his henchmen fast enough to catch Sonic.
