The warping arm attack[1] is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a technique used by the Time Eater where it attacks in conjunction with its Time Holes.

Description[]

In the console/PC version of Sonic Generations, the warping arm attack utilizes at least two Time Holes created by the Time Eater. When performing this move, the Time Eater slips one of its hands into a Time Hole and out the other without obeying the laws of space, allowing it to attack opponents from afar. This move is very effective at catching opponents off-guard. The Time Eater can also select a specific point in the future for the attack to appear, making the move much more difficult to predict.

In gameplay, the warping arm attack is utilized by the Time Eater during the final boss fight, wherein it uses this move to attack Classic Super Sonic and Modern Super Sonic while it stays a safe distance away. If one of the arms hits the player, it can cancel the Super Sonic Boost and temporary disables the ability to initiate the attack for a second.

In the gameplay on the Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Generations, the warping arm attack is utilized by the Time Eater during the 3D sections of the final boss fight. When the Time Eater sends its arms at Super Sonic, the arms will try to knock him backwards to keep him away from the Time Eater. This attack can interrupt a Super Sonic Boost and will immobilize the player for a second. To avoid the warping arm attack, the player must complete the Real-Time Interaction that appears on the screen in time.
