The Wave Machine[1] is an object that appears in the Sonic Boom television series. It is an undersea weapon created by Dr. Eggman to destroy Hedgehog Village.
Description
Appearance
The Wave Machine is a device at the size of a small building. It resembles a grey trapezoid cube with black outlines and four legs, each with two joints and a flat foot, on its bottom's corners. It also has three handle bars on two of its opposing sides, a sharp tube up front, and a recess on top for the Eggmobile to fit into.
Features and abilities
The Wave Machine is capable of creating seismic activity on a massive scale to produce tidal waves. If charged up for at least eight hours, it can make a tidal wave big enough to destroy Hedgehog Village or Eggman's lair in one fell swoop. It also comes with a detachable spherical pod for the Eggmobile to conduct underwater operations in without inhibiting its weapons. However, the machine has a weak spot on its bottom's right-hand side.[1]
History
TV series
Season two
Inspired to make an plan which the aquaphobic Sonic would be too afraid to foil, Dr. Eggman went into the sea around Seaside Island in the Wave Machine to prep a tidal wave to destroy the Unnamed Village with. The machine's activity attracted the attention of Team Sonic, but it was first later that the team got Sonic to go into the sea with them to stop it. There, Sonic toppled the Wave Machine with some Shark Bots, causing its tidal wave to hit Eggman's lair instead.[1]
