This is the first sword that Sonic uses in his tutorial missions Reach the Misty Lake and Retrieve the Sacred Sword. He will stop using it once you select the third mission of the game. Both missions taking place in Misty Lake. It is a rusty old sword that Sonic practices with. Though unnamed during the missions, it is identified in the Treasury as the Clarent.
It is based on a sword mentioned in the 4346-line Middle English alliterative poem Alliterative Morte Arthure. It was a sword used in knighting ceremonies yet stolen by Mordred, with which Arthur receives his fatal blow.
Caliburn is a talking weapon used by Sonic the Hedgehog throughout most of the game Sonic and the Black Knight. He is voiced by Casey Robertson in the English version and by Hiroaki Hirata in the Japanese version. In the English version, he acts like a proper and polite gentleman, which initially clashes with Sonic's easy-going attitude. He is also shown to be a bit of a strict teacher, usually calling a Sonic a fool when he does something that Caliburn disapproves of.
Lancelot’s sword: its blade is said to never lose its edge.
— Description in the Treasury
Arondight is Sir Lancelot's sword in Sonic and the Black Knight. This is the first sword that you collect in the adventure mode of the game. Arondight is a dark-colored sword, with a semi-serrated edge and a strange pattern near the point. It is wielded in Lancelot's backhand grip, and is taken by Sonic after their first fight. The sword is said never to lose its edge.
Ddraig Goch is Sir Lancelot's ultimate sword in Sonic and the Black Knight. It looks somewhat like Shadow's head, with the upmost spike being the blade. When Lancelot starts a stage with Ddraig Goch equipped, his Soul Gauge will be instantly filled. While using it, Sir Lancelot can use Chaos Spear just by swinging his sword, and Chaos Blast when using Chaos Punishment.
The dual swords wielded by Gawain: praised for sharpness.
— Description in the Treasury
Galatine are Gawain's twin swords. The Galatine swords are deep red with a bright outer blade. The Galatine's being two swords is to complement Knuckles'/Gawain's close-quarters combat style. Strangely, Sonic is only shown taking one Galatine, yet when he places the swords around King Arthur, both of the swords are seen in a bit of a cross/X.
Galatine is/are sometimes referred to as the Sword(s) of the Sun, as Gawain is the Knight of the Sun.
A sinuous, single-edge sword with great striking power.
— Description in the Treasury
The Flamberge is the final weapon of Sir Gawain in Sonic and the Black Knight. The Flamberge look like a pair of sickles and the top look like flames. With this weapon, Gawain's power greatly increases as well as his speed. And at the beginning of each stage, his Soul Gauge is instantly full.
Laevatein is Percival's sword, a rapier. Laevatein is bright pink in colour, and is a very thin blade. Laevatein is the only sword besides Caliburn to be wielded normally; Arondight is wielded backhand, and Galatine are two swords.
Laevatein, like the others, is sometimes known as the Sword of the Grail, because Percival is the Knight of the Grail.
Rapier of the holy knight; its shape looks familiar...
— Description in the Treasury
The Joyeuse is the final weapon of Sir Percival. With this final weapon, Percival can run much faster, her flame tornado is bigger and stronger, and her attack range is bigger. Also, while this weapon is equipped, Percival's Soul Gauge is instantly full at the start of each stage.
Excluding their first and last weapons, all the weapons used by the Knights of the Round table are part of pairs with the later being a more complete version of the first.
