The Ring of Eternity is an object that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is a powerful magical entity in the shape of a Giant Ring with a face in the middle. It claims to be the spirit of Planet Mobius, as well as a doorway to all known worlds and times. Tekno the Canary referred to it as a "construction of ancient science and magic".[1] The Ring of Eternity appears to be aware of its existence in all time periods simultaneously, as it was able to transport Amy and Tekno into the past and its past self was able to explain its reason for doing so.[2]

History[]

A group of dinosaurs in spacesuits (not native to Mobius) claimed to have built the Ring of Eternity in the distant past (long before life of Mobius was first created) so that they could travel to other worlds to seed them with life.[2]

Amy Rose and Tekno the Canary first encountered the Ring of Eternity on Mobius in the Snowcap Mountain Zone. The Ring subjected them to a number of tests of their strength and courage, and revealed itself to them once they had passed the tests. It then began to transport them to planets and times throughout the universe that needed their help.[1]

The Ring of Eternity sent Amy and Tekno to the following locations:

After this, Amy and Tekno returned to Mobius, along with Max Gamble, whom they had captured on the Wish World. During their absence, the Ring of Eternity had been moved to the Blueberry Hill Zone. They found that some "fans" of Fabian Vane had tricked the singer into travelling through the Ring of Eternity so that they would not have to put up with his music. When Amy and Tekno warned him of the dangers, a fight broke out and the Ring was smashed into pieces. Nevertheless, Amy, Tekno, Fabian and Max Gamble repaired the Ring, which then became good as new thanks to its magical powers.[14]
